Value vs. Difficulty

There's a big difference between what's valuable and what's difficult to get. Attaining something worthwhile is typically hard to get, but just because it's difficult doesn't mean it's valuable.

Decisions Need Information, Not Time

Alex Hormozi: it doesn't take time to make decisions, it takes information. If you have the information to decide, you should make it. Time is not a requirement for decision-making, information is.

Discipline Over Motivation

Motivation is fleeting, it comes and goes, and discipline is always there. By doing the thing, you shortcut the need for motivation entirely — go and do the thing.

Awareness Comes First

There's no way that you can rule anything that you're not aware of. Ultimately, happiness comes down to choosing the discomfort of becoming aware of your mental afflictions or the discomfort of becoming ruled by them.

Focus vs. Fragmentation

You have to focus on progress toward a specific thing in the medium term, or sacrifice meaningful progress toward everything in the long term. You can be anything you want, but you can't be everything you want.

Confidence Is Built on Proof

You don't become confident by shouting affirmations in the mirror, but by having a stack of undeniable proof that you are who you are — you outwork your self-doubt. If you have little proof that you can do a thing and are complaining that you can't believe in yourself doing it, that's only fantasy. Confidence without competence is a delusion.

Proof eats belief for breakfast — you don't need faith in your abilities, you have evidence.
